Asked at the ironing board
Quick answers first, for anyone with a sweater already on the board. Longer ones below for the rest.
The compact runs on batteries.
It also runs from the 6 ft AC cord in the box.
Spare blades come with both lines.
Cashmere is fine, with the cover raised and no pressure.
Loose pet hair wants a roller first; the shaver takes what is attached.
We cannot see or change your order; the store can.

How long does one sweater take?
A few minutes for a pullover in average condition, a little more for a cardigan front that has gone a whole winter without attention. The large head is quicker on big pieces because each pass covers a 65mm lane.
Why does the motor slow down?
Almost always because the guard is being pressed into the fabric, or because the container is full and the suction has nowhere to send clippings. Lift off, empty, and try again with the shaver resting under its own weight.
Can I use it on a damp garment?
No. Wash and dry first. Pills release more cleanly from dry fiber, and the blade and the container are meant to stay dry.
Does the large head have an adjustable cover like the compact?
The large-head listing names a protective mesh, not an adjustable cover, so we do not claim one. The mesh does the spacing between blade and fabric; your job is to keep the piece flat and your hand light.
Which fabrics are off limits?
Anything with raised embroidery, sequins, a loose weave that catches, or threads already pulled. Steer around seams and buttons on everything else, and test an inside hem on a garment you care about.
How should I store it between uses?
Emptied, with the head brushed clean, in a drawer or a bag pocket. Take the batteries out of the compact if it will sit unused for months.
Does color change anything?
Within a line, nothing: the same guard, blade, container and controls in every finish. Prices can differ by finish at the partner store, which is why each color has its own page here.
Where do I buy, and who do I ask about the order?
The buy button on any page opens that exact shaver at our partner store. Delivery, returns and warranty live in the order page there. Our mailbox is for fabrics, technique and care.
